On Thursday, Grace attended a partner conference at Cavallo Point, which is near the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin. We were invited to the New Director celebration dinner in the evening, where Grace’s colleague and friend, Saum, was being toasted on his recent election to Director, along with 3 other Partners. Their accomplishment was both inspiring and well-deserved and each was recognized in their own way. We were both touched that Saum acknowledged Grace during his speech.
Kate stayed overnight with the kids so Grace and I could spend the night. It’s really an amazing spot.

UPDATE: I forgot to mention that Grace ended the evening with some dancing on the way back to the room with guns blazing. She was not firing on all cylinders the next morning. She also had her McRyder cup golf tournament on Friday afternoon.
