Burlingame Easter Egg Hunt

by

On Saturday, April 11th, we went over to Washington Park where the Burlingame Lion’s club held their annual Easter Egg Hunt.  This was our first time attending, so we didn’t know what to expect, and we weren’t well prepared.  First, the event started at 7:30am – that’s a little early for us.  We headed over a little after 9am and had already missed the 2 year old “heat.”  It was no matter, because Olivia didn’t seem to interested AND we didn’t consider the fact that it was BYOEB (bring your own Easter basket).  Mike showed up with Alex and his friend Jay came with his son, Dylan.  After all of the age groups went, with constant reminders that older/younger children were not to be on the field, they had a final free for all for all kids under 9 who had not been on the field yet.  Pretty much every kid and their parents were out there mixing it up.  I don’t think Olivia or I would have survived.  We’ll be better prepared for the scrum next year.
