This past weekend, the usual suspects and others met up in Las Vegas for our “semi-annual” trip (though this was my fourth this year). Officially, we were there to celebrate Linda’s birthday. She and Danny brought Elliott and their mom on the trip. It was good to see Mrs. Shin and she seemed to be having a good time. Elliott recently turned 1 year old – this was his 4th trip to Las Vegas. Friday morning, Danny and I played golf at Bear’s Best, which is a course made up of Jack’s best holes from around the country. It was a beautful morning, the course was fun, and our fore caddy was a great guy. Friday afternoon, Jea and Eddie came in from DC. They left their three kids at home with Jea’s sister for their 40-hour trip. Unfortunately, Audrey was not feeling well, so they had to leave even earlier than planned. It was fun while it lasted and they get big points for the effort. Prem and her brother, and a couple of Danny’s med school friends also joined us on Saturday. Francis completed the team, though he was staying at the Wynn, where his casino host takes care of him. I really can’t get into any of the other details – let’s just say there were winners and losers, though good times were had by all.
