Grace and I quietly celebrated our birthdays together. Grace’s parents gave us a generous gift, as always. My parents treated us to dinner at Jardiniere in the city. Thanks to all of them for thinking of us. Thanks also to Francis and Jon, who sent us Reuben sandwiches from Zingerman’s in Ann Arbor! It was not only a surprise, but also a great treat.
