We finally made the trip to the DC area to visit Jea, Edwin, Emma, Ethan & Audrey. It was long overdue. They were nice enough to put up the whole family at their house. The kids were so great with Olivia and Lucas. Highlights:
- Visiting the model of the house they’re building. It’s going to be super nice and big thumbs up on the theater room.
- Visiting uncle Eddie’s office. It’s full service when an ENT cleans your kid’s ears.
- Having an adult evening out. They had a tough time finding a sitter. Ken, their friend who I’ve also known for years, volunteered to watch the kids. He brought over his 3 kids and watched all 8 all by himself! I dubbed him the toddler whisperer, as he got all the kids down, including Lucas and Olivia, who doesn’t like to go down without a fight. Amazing. We went to Mon Ami Gabi in Reston, which is one of our favorite places in Vegas (we go every single time without fail).
- We spent Labor Day in our great nation’s capital. Olivia loves dinosaurs, so we checked them out at the Smithsonian, along with the Hope Diamond. Cool.
It was awesome hanging out with the Lee family. We can’t wait to do it again.
