We went down to LA for the weekend to celebrate Cindy & Jay’s wedding. For no good reason, we took the kids to the rehearsal dinner in Monterey Park on Friday night – big mistake. The wedding was at The Athenaeum in Pasadena on Saturday. I’m not going to name names, but we were late. The only benefit was that I was standing in back and managed to get one good shot of the beautiful bride and groom as they were walking down the aisle.
It was a McK health care reunion, so it was nice to see a lot of familiar faces, including Carolyn and Mark, who came all the way from Switzerland.
The wedding was awesome: venue, food, company, toasts, cake & Pinkberry dessert. However, the highlight of the evening was when the DJ started calling up some random people, 4 men and 4 women, including Grace. Everyone was wondering why they were front and center when it was explained that Cindy and Jay (really Jay) decided a good old-fashioned dance-off was in order.
Here’s the video. Grace and her partner were couple 3. Personally, I think they were robbed. One day, I’m going to have to explain to the kids that their mom tied for last place in this event.
