Annie and Patrick’s Wedding in Healdsburg

by

On Friday, October 11th, Grace and I headed up to Healdsburg for Annie and Patrick’s wedding weekend. My parents had come in that morning to stay for a couple weeks and help watch the kids over the weekend while we were away. We had heard about all the hard work Annie and Patrick had put into their home in Healdsburg, and it really looks amazing both inside and outside.

Patrick, Josh, and Grace all lived together during graduate school, so it was great to catch up with Rachel and Josh all weekend. We hung out pretty late, and it was long enough that I had room for a seconds of pulled pork, after putting away some Hog Island oysters.

We were staying at the Hotel Healdsburg, which is right on the square in downtown. It would have been great to enjoy the morning out and about, but I had been sick for over a week and used the opportunity to sleep in. Grace caught up with work and friends until I finally rallied. I went out for coffee and took a stroll before we met up with Rachel and Josh for lunch at Dry Creek Kitchen.

The wedding was at the beautiful Soda Rock Winery. The ceremony was so beautiful and touching. Annie’s mother and Patrick’s father both shared letters to the bride and groom on their advice for marriage and both were so wonderful and heartfelt. Likewise were Annie and Patrick’s vows, which they each shared with the other. And, their friend, Lucy, did an amazing job as officiant.

Every detail of the wedding was amazing, right down to the personalized escort cards and the polaroids. Annie was a beautiful and jovial bride and I’ve never seen Patrick so happy. Best wishes to this amazing couple.
